Lemon-Ginger Ice Cream

How refreshing is this? Let me count the ways:

  1. It's as sparkling and bright as a fresh-squeezed lump of citrus — a lemon in a bowl.
  2. It's as biting as a peek through the Antarctic doors that keep a research scientist from freezing in the constant winds.
  3. It's as sweet and creamy as, well, a bowl of ice cream, fresh from the freezer!

This was an accident, mostly. I had a bunch of ginger candy on hand from an ancient road trip and I wanted to do something special with it, and around the same time, I got into making custom-flavored, small-batch, personal-iced ice cream tins to see how many fun tastes I could get from the basic mixture.

This was my favorite. Remind me to make it again, someday, when my work is finally done. Until then, maybe you can try it up there, in the mortal realms, and let me know if it's just as refreshing as I remember it as being.
