Anthology Stories

These are all the stories released as part of defined "anthology" titles under the Pick-n-Mix Comix banner, generally from 2024 to 2025 in origin. These were intended to be the main storytelling methodology going forward at that point, but a certain number of issues in each title was outlined and it was decided to switch to the (as-of-2025) current serial novel format for storytelling instead.

However, these were designed to tell a consistent story within the same continuity, so it should all check out if the rest of them are ever finished so the full runs can be up here too.

Gallo Belgrave's Common Grounds

In the world of Grimshaw, during the 1980s, the only thing Gallo Belgrave was more famous for than gravedigging was the operation of the Common Grounds Graveyard Café — a coffee shop and bakery located right in the crypt at the heart of the old stone church at the cemetery's center, transforming the space from where he once slept amongst the roaches to an arch-roofed world of caffeine addiction and ghostly weariness.

But there's more that goes on than simply baked goods. There's still a coffee shop to run, and burials to plan, bodies to bury, and still more to feed, and every day, there are new problems for Gallo to face at Gallo Belgrave's Common Grounds.

Gallo Belgrave's Common Grounds #1

"The Café For Dead Boys, Chapter One" — At the Café For Dead Boys, ghosts of male characters from throughout the Other Realms come to stay for a while, share with each other, and press on toward the next life — including Rayne Starling of Skyhaven, Zero and the Red Door from the Lands of Always, and Bastion Marionette from the same one.
